Fun loving nature nut, Melissa brings a sense of enthusiasm and adventure to her days exploring the Everglades?  Cherishing every opportunity to share her passion for creatures great and small, Melissa will leave you with an appreciation for the many habitats of the Everglades.  Her enthusiasm is contagious and you will be rewarded with a new appreciation for life and for our environment.

Melissa brings with her a background in both Education and guiding.  With an undergraduate and graduate degree in ecology and psychology, she combines her knowledge of nature and people to offer fellow Everglades explorers an easy-going, fun and educational day.  Her guiding experiences range from Alaska to Florida where she has shared her knowledge for wildlife from kayaks, boats, bikes and hikes.  Having traveled across the world in pursuit of all things wild, Melissa’s favorite place has always been amongst the birds and creatures of Florida.  Her most recent explorations had her studying penguins and elephant seals in chilly Antarctica!  While the adventure was fantastic, she is thankful for every day she spends living and working in sunny, Southwest Florida!
