Joanne Watkins
Joanne Watkins was raised in and around the Everglades.  She has camped and hiked extensively throughout Florida.  She has taught environmental education for the Lee County School Board and has also worked for the Calusa Nature Center.  Joanne was also a founding member of the S.W. FL. K-9 Search Unit; and has been featured on "Inside Edition" for rescuing a man lost in the mangroves.  She also guided the "Inside Edition" film crew into the mangrove islands for the filming of the segment "Mangrove Man".   Joanne brings her love for the everglades to Everglades Day Safari by treating guests to a relaxing, informative, adventure.
